Here at
Building Worx we would like to introduce our new
design/build system. This system reduces the risk and
uncertainty, and other costs of remodeling as your
project design and budget are developed simultaneously.
As you work with us here at Building Worx to develop a
budget for your project, you will receive an estimate
for the cost of materials and labor.
Without this service, you would have hire an architect
or professional design firm to draft the proposed
project and then find the right builder to do the work.
Architects and designers focus on the project, usually
without knowledge as to the cost of the project.
Contractors, on the other hand, may have good building
skills, but unless they are qualified design/build
contractors, they will be unable to fulfill your vision
through a complete set of plans.
Although many want to "bid a job out" in order to try to
get the best price, doing so can leave you with the
confusing task of trying to qualify contractors in areas
that may be outside of your expertise.
Using a design/build firm like Building Worx can
significantly reduce the likelihood that your final
project will be over-budget by focusing on your design
and budget equally.
Once a design and a budget are established, our team is
assigned to your project, working together with you and
your design consultant to bring your project to life.
Before construction gets underway, you’ll attend a
pre-construction meeting with us to discuss the various
aspects of the project, the schedule for the remodeling
as it gets underway, and any special needs that the you
may have in order to ensure as close to normalcy as
possible during the tear-down and construction phases.
The lead carpenter that is assigned to your project will
be on the job throughout its entirety, and will also act
as your point person.
It’s our goal that the partnership between you and our
team, here at Building Worx, is one that builds your
trust and confidence as well as a beautiful new space
for you to enjoy for many years to come.
